Terms and Conditions
Payment: $400 deposit per person is required at the time of booking; final payment is due no later than 50 days before departure. Visa and Master Charge, money orders and personal checks are acceptable forms of payment.

Cancellaton: Cancellations received more than 51 days or more prior to departure are refundable less a $150 per person processing fee. For cancellations received 50 days or less prior to departure, all monies are nonrefundable. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Refunds for missed days: There are no refunds for any missed portions of your tour because of missed or delayed flights. Additionally, we cannot guarantee any refund for any feature of the tour not used as a result of weather, personal health, or social disturbance.

Responsibility and Liability: Calypso Island Tours acts only as an agent in arranging and obtaining various travel services in conjunction with our tours, including but not limited to ground transportation, excursions, accommodations and other tour services. The suppliers are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Calypso Island Tours; as such tour participants agree that neither Calypso Island nor its employees, subagents or representatives shall be held liable for any loss or damage (including personal injury, death, and/or property loss) or expense occasioned by any act or omission of such suppliers while one is a participant of one of these tours. Nor shall Calypso Island be held liable for any event beyond its control, including but not limited to defects in vehicles or mechanical breakdowns, strikes, acts of terrorism or war, civil uprisings, weather, natural disasters, government action or other causes In addition, Calypso Island cannot be held responsible for the medical or health problems or physical disabilities of passengers and the failure of tour participants to obtain documents; passports, visas and health certificates valid through date of re-entry, when required in which case a cancellation charge will be assessed. The tour participant accepts full responsibility for evaluating his/her fitness for all our tours and will be responsible for any additional expense should he/she be physically unable to participate in any or all portions. Our liability cannot be extended to the failure of tour participants to follows instructions including but not limited to check-in and check-out times and baggage handling. Airlines and other carriers are not responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not aboard their planes or conveyances. The sole responsibility of any airline used in these tours is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. Participants agree that Calypso Island also reserves the right to alter the tour program when necessary or desirable for the protection, safety or improvement of the said travel program or when local conditions do not permit operation of the program as published. In the event of change, we will try to substitute comparable services. Such alterations may be made without penalty to the tour operators; additional expenses, if any, shall be the responsibility of the tour participants. In the event of complete cancellation by Calypso Island, we shall refund to all participants the full amount paid to us. No refund can be made for any unused portion of the tour or for "no shows". Calypso Island also reserves the right to decline, to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such a person's health or mental condition or physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights or welfare of the other tour participants. In such instances, full or equitable amount will be refunded, but this amount shall not exceed the amount paid by the passengers. All contracts for services provided by Calypso Island Tours and its affiliates are entered into in the State of California and all parties to such contracts submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of California

Important Information
Though our different tour offerings in general are not very strenuous, tour participants should be in relatively good health and should be prepared to walk several hours a day; in addition participants should be prepared to adjust to differences in climate, altitude, time changes, local foods and other conditions experienced in touring a foreign country. In general, traveling in the tropics, one should be prepared for a hot and fairly humid climate and traveling throughout the countryside, one should be prepared for unpaved and bumpy roads and hilly terrain. Away from the big cities, meals are usually prepared using local foods according to local tastes and we therefore cannot guarantee that special dietary needs/requests will be accommodated. If for some reason, you become ill or injured during the tour, the local tour guide with the assistance of the Tour Operator's Staff will make every effort to find medical assistance and attention. We encourage all tour participants to notify their guide or representatives of the Tour Operator if for some reason they are having physical or medical problems. In the event, that you become seriously ill or are unable to participate in the rest for the tour for any reason, special arrangements will be made to return you home as safely as possible. Calypso Island Tours strongly recommends that all participants purchase trip cancellation insurance.
